The USBKIT interface board and software package from Wavelength Electronics Inc., Bozeman, MT, lets you operate a laser diode driver and a temperature controller simultaneously. Multiple USBKITs can be connected to the same computer, allowing for control of complex systems. Features include a factory-modified NI multifunction I/O card for DA; software for control of the laser diode driver, the temperature controller, and to provide graphing and data logging; and the ability to save the setup configuration for repeating experiments or manufacturing testing. You can set the desired load temperature as a voltage or as a temperature; establish max. and min. temperature limits; and establish whether the laser diode current is disabled if temperature limits are exceeded.
