Innovasic Inc., Albuquerque, NM, offers an improved version of its RapID platform network interface for Industrial Ethernet connectivity that lets you support Profinet Class B, EtherNet/IP, and ModbusTCP without changing hardware or the host processor software. Host communications with the network interface remain the same regardless of the protocol. EtherNet/IP and Profinet Class B versions have been certified. All protocol versions incorporate PriorityChannel that ensures real-time Industrial Ethernet messages are always processed on time, regardless of the amount or type of network traffic. The network interface is offered as a module or as an embedded design.
