E57 Series inductive proximity switches from Omega Engineering Inc., Stamford, CT, are available in 5 and 8 mm dia. with SS or Ni-brass housings. The 3-wire devices feature short-circuit and reverse-polarity protection, status LEDs, 10–30 VDC operation, 2 kHz switching frequency, <1% sensing distance repeat accuracy, and sensing ranges of 0.8, 1, 2, or 3 mm. Applications include automated product testing, robotics, machine tooling, counting and sorting, pick and place, conveyance systems, automotive, and general factory automation.
