Image Sensor from Eastman Kodak
Eastman Kodak Co.

Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, NY, introduces the KAI-01050 interline transfer CCD image sensor, the first device based on the company's new CCD technology. The 1024 by 1024 pixel progressive-scan interline transfer CCD image sensor uses a 5.5 µm pixel 45% smaller than the previous technology generation, but retains its dynamic range, quantum efficiency, and responsivity. Quad-output architecture enables readout speeds of up to 120 frames/s and smear is –100 dB. A low-noise amplifier enhances performance in low-light applications. Applications include machine vision and scientific imaging.
