CINCINNATI, OH -- Breeding, fertility and health are critical factors for success on-farm and the new Dairymaster MooMonitor+ has been awarded the Dairy Herd Management Innovation Award at World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin. This is the second award in the last two weeks for the MooMonitor+. Last week at Europe's largest Outdoor Agricultural Exhibition with over 279,000 attendees, the MooMonitor+ also won an Innovation award.
The much anticipated MooMonitor+ that monitors each individual cow's behavior 24x7 measures activity, rumination, resting and feeding times. The mobile app allows two way interaction with the system, this removes the need to go back to the computer. When the system detects sick cows it will send an immediate notification direct to your cell phone.
When the Head of Agriculture in the World Bank, Dr Juergen Voegele visited Dairymaster recently to see innovative technologies the MooMonitor+ was of particular interest.
The MooMonitor+ is such an innovative product that the European Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science, Máire Geoghegan-Quinn who oversees Europe's €80 billion Horizon 2020 research programme even attended the MooMonitor+ global launch.
Dr Harty explained how "this can completely revolutionize productivity on farms as the MooMonitor+ allows the cow to follow her natural cycle resulting in more calves and healthier cows who can perform at their peak levels. The MooMonitor+ basically allows producers to have their herd in their pocket - this means that they can enjoy more family or free time and their herd is still being monitored for health and heat detection on a constant basis".
You can swipe the MooMonitor+ with a compatible phone - making it much easier to assign a MooMonitor+ to a cow or read the cow's individual information. It also has the largest range of anything on the market which means that information is updated in a timelier basis.
