The ACS712 (bidirectional) and ACS713 (unidirectional) Hall effect current sensors from Allegro MicroSystems Inc., Worcester, MA, have 2100 Vrms isolation and include an integrated shield to attenuate high dV/dt transients across the leadframe. Suited for use in motor control and high-side current-sense applications, the sensors have an improved response time and a filter pin to reduce output noise and improve low-current accuracy. Sensors are offered in an SOIC8 package.
