The SCC1300-D02 and SCC1300-D04 from VTI Technologies, Vantaa, Finland, combine a triaxial accelerometer with a near-tactical-grade single-axis gyro in the same package. The SCC1300-D02 has a measuring range of ±100°/s (x-axis) and ±2 g (3-axis) while the SCC1300-D04 has a measuring range of ±300°/s (x-axis) and ±6 g (3-axis). Angular rate sensors are insensitive to shock and vibration. The devices are temperature compensated over the –40°C to 125°C range. Applications include inertial measurement units (IMUs), platform control and stabilization, motion analysis and control, and guidance and navigation systems.
