Greenliant's High Reliability G-card NVMe Flash Storage Products Certified for VMware's vSphere ESXi

SANTA CLARA, CA -- Greenliant Systems announced its G7100 Series G-card® NVMe flash storage products have achieved VMware Ready status, and have been certified for VMware's vSphere ESXi. G-card is Greenliant's high capacity NVMe flash storage solution designed for primary storage applications that require ultra-high reliability with sustainable low-latency and high IOPS performance. G7100 Series G-card (G7101 and G7102) has achieved the highest level of endorsement by VMware (VMW).

By maximizing the lifespan and reliability of 2-bits-per-cell (MLC) NAND flash, G-card offers modern enterprise and Internet datacenters a cost-effective tier-one primary storage solution. Building on Greenliant's expertise in embedded storage, G-card complements the NANDrive™ and ArmourDrive™ solid state drive (SSD) families to provide a comprehensive portfolio of data storage solutions. G-card utilizes Greenliant's advanced controller and an array of NANDrive SSDs in a standard PCIe add-in card form factor. In contrast to other PCIe flash cards that use discrete NAND, G-card deploys Distributed ECC Architecture with each NANDrive building-block having its own ECC engine. This innovative architecture not only improves scalability in card capacity, but also ensures sustainable performance and reliability during the product life. G-card is equipped with on-board hardware RAID to provide an industry leading system-level lifetime endurance of up to 10 Drive Writes Per Day (DWPD) for 5 years. With an intelligent power interrupt data protection circuit for the on-board buffer memory, G-card can commit host write operations without risk of data loss due to sudden power interruptions.

"G-card's robust reliability and excellent scalability make it ideal for mission critical I/O intensive applications, such as big data analytics, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), online transaction processing (OLTP) and in-memory computing," said Bing Yeh, CEO of Greenliant Systems. "With VMware's certification, our G7100 Series G-card is one of the first NVMe flash cards on the market to achieve VMware Ready status for the industry leading server virtualization platform vSphere ESXi 6.0 and 6.0 U1."

Greenliant Systems is a VMware Elite Technology Alliance Partner (TAP). The TAP program provides VMware partners with a comprehensive set of technical resources, tools and marketing support to deliver best-in-class solutions on the VMware platform to joint customers. The VMware Ready certification helps customers quickly identify qualified products and solutions which have met specific VMware interoperability standards and work effectively with VMware infrastructure.
