Edmund Optics, Barrington, NJ, offers GigE CMOS progressive-scan machine vision cameras, supplied in an ultracompact housing and featuring adjustable frame rate via binning, subsampling, or AOI. A software interface lets you set up a specified Area of Interest (AOI), gain, exposure time, frame rate, trigger delay, and digital output delay and duration. You can set the exposure, gain, and white balance to a specified level or allow the camera to adjust the parameters automatically. Proprietary software lets the user capture still images in JPG and .BMP formats or video in AVI format; it can also perform edge enhancement, image mirroring and binning, and hot pixel correction. The cameras are available in monochrome and color models.
