DALSA Corp., Waterloo, ON, Canada, has expanded its Genie family of Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) cameras with the Genie-M1024 (1024 by 768 pixel) and the Genie-M1400 (1360 by 1024 pixel). The Genie-M1024 uses a 1/3 in. CCD image sensor with a 20 fps frame rate. The Genie-M1400 uses a monochrome CCD sensor. Both transmit data over standard Cat-5e and Cat-6 cables to distances of up to 100 m. Cameras are certified GigE Vision-compliant by the AIA and are supported by the company's Sapera Essential machine vision software.
