The CS6910G from Toshiba Teli America Inc., Irvine, CA, is a GigE industrial camera that incorporates a Super CCD Honeycomb color sensor. The camera conforms to the AIA GigE Vision protocol and provides bandwidth to stream noncompressed 24-bit RGB color video at up to 30 frames/s at 1280 by 960 pixel resolution over cabling to a host PC. The honeycomb layout of the octagonal photodiodes allows the Super CCD to deliver greater horizontal/vertical resolution than conventional CCDs while improving sensitivity, SNR, and dynamic range. Features include progressive scanning, random trigger, electronic shutter, and external trigger.
