The CFDK 25 low-profile capacitive sensor from Baumer, Southington, CT, reliably detects objects in confined spaces such as low-rise conveyors, automated handling equipment, or industrial machinery. Available in five fixed sensing distances from 2–15 mm, the sensor is 6 mm high, has a Polyamid 12 housing, and can either be directly attached to a work surface or set into a mounting frame that allows snap-in-place installation and removal. Applications include detecting wafers and PCBs on electronic production lines, liquid level detection in laboratory processing, and object detection in printing and packaging machines.
