The international embedded developer community comes together this year at Embedded World 2020, February 25-27 in Nuremburg, Germany. More than 1,100 exhibitors will be showcasing the latest technologies and solutions in embedded hardware, software, systems and application software. The co-located electronic displays Conference (edC), February 26-27, 2020, will showcase the latest display technologies and systems.

Exhibitors include a roster of some of the world biggest semiconductor players, including NXP, Texas Instruments, STMicroelectronics, and Nvidia, as well top vendors of systems and application software, tools and solutions for embedded operating systems, embedded security, embedded vision and more.

The Exhibitors’ Forum features more than 20 sessions with exhibitors at Embedded World showcasing their production innovations and solutions. These sessions provide a unique opportunity for attendees to get a deeper dive into the specifics of the technologies on display at the exhibition.

Fierce AI Week

Register today for Fierce AI Week - a free virtual event | August 10-12

Advances in AI and Machine Learning are adding an unprecedented level of intelligence to everything through capabilities such as speech processing and image & facial recognition. An essential event for design engineers and AI professionals, Engineering AI sessions during Fierce AI Week explore some of the most innovative real-world applications today, the technological advances that are accelerating adoption of AI and Machine Learning, and what the future holds for this game-changing technology.

Connecting Embedded Intelligence is the theme of this year’s conference. Now in its 18th year, the conference consists of 280 sessions designed to help embedded developers successfully turn their ideas and innovations into products. Sessions are taught by leading academics, industry experts, consultants and practitioners.

Hassane El-Khoury, President and CEO of Cypress Semiconductor, will give a keynote at 1:30 pm on February 25, on “How the IoT Will Drive the Convergence of Man and Machine.”

The tracks this year are IoT and Connected Things; Embedded Operating Systems, Safety & Security; Hardware Engineering; Software and Systems Engineering; Embedded Vision; Autonomous and Intelligent Systems; Embedded Graphics and HMI; and SoC Design and Development. See the full Embedded World Conference 2020 program here.

Extended training offerings will give embedded developers a deep dive into specific embedded topics and technologies and some hands-on drive time with the hardware. Classes include a full-day Embedded Android Workshop, taught by Karim Yaghmour, Opersys; Greg Davis’ (Green Hills Software) class on Advanced CC++ Coding and Debugging Techniques; and an Ultra-Low-Power Hands-on Workshop, taught by Herman Roeblers, Altran.

All in all, there’s plenty for embedded developers to see and learn about at Embedded World in 2020.

And for embedded developers who will not be planning to travel to Nuremburg in February, check out the program for the Embedded Technologies Conference, June 23-25, 2020 in San Jose. Now in its second year, this event is targeted specifically at engineers who develop embedded systems and work with both hardware and software. A primary focus is the development of operating systems, coding, debugging, and testing systems.
