The 48-bit USB-4751 and 24-bit USB-4751L from Omega Engineering Inc., Stamford, CT, are digital I/O modules for the USB bus that support both wet and dry contacts as inputs. The 48 or 24 bits are divided into 6/3 eight-bit I/O ports, each I/O port software-programmable as input or output. Other features include three 16-bit timers, which can be cascaded to become a 32-bit timer, and 1 event counter and. Modules can be DIN rail mounted. Windows software that converts a PC into a real-time strip chart recorder with printing capability; you can also export the data to a text or Microsoft file.
