The EX1200-7500 from VTI Instruments Corp., Irvine, CA, is a high-performance digital I/O module for the company's EX1200 platform. The module provides 64 channels of digital I/O in an 8-port configuration that can be individually configured for input or output operation. The I/O can be single-buffered for real-time data access, double-buffered for synchronized data access, or configured with other modules as part of the EX1200 autonomous scan list function. Features include selectable output voltage levels from 3.3–60 V, current handling to 300 mA, up to 1 MB of onboard memory, data rates up to 2 MHz, and the ability to pull up internally all clamping diodes and open collector channels.
