The HumidIcon HIH-6130 (no filter, noncondensing) and 6131 (hydrophobic filter and condensation-resistant) Series digital humidity/temperature sensors from Honeywell Sensing and Control, Minneapolis, MN, are for use in HVAC, refrigeration, respiratory therapy, medical incubators, and medical microenvironment applications. Sensors have a total error band of ±5% RH over a compensated 5°C–50°C temperature range and 10%–90% RH humidity range. Long-term stability is 1.2% RH over 5 yr. The laser-trimmed, thermoset polymer capacitive RH sensor has multilayer construction to resist condensation, dust, dirt, oils, and common environmental chemicals. Features include a temperature-compensated digital I2C output, sleep-mode power consumption of 1 µA, full operation consumption of 650 µA, and 14-bit resolution.
