The OS1000 from OceanServer Technology Inc., Fall River, MA, is a 3-axis, tilt-compensated, solid-state digital compass for OEM applications such as antenna positioning, GPS integration, attitude reference, robotics control, platform leveling, and laser range finding. The compass is a 1 in. square PCB with an RS-232 connector and it includes a MEMS accelerometer for horizontal 3-axis positioning, with tilt-compensation up to ±60°. Accuracy is up to ±1° at level heading with ±0.1° resolution. The compass is available with a USB connection and a pressure transducer for water depth measurement.
