Digital Color Sensors from TAOS

TAOS Inc., Plano, TX, offers the TCS3x71 and TCS3x72 Series of digital color RGB sensors that provide color measurement and, when coupled with an IR LED, proximity detection in a range of lighting conditions and through a variety of attenuating materials. The TCS3x72 Series has an IR blocking filter integrated onchip and localized to the color sensor photodiodes to enable ambient light sensing in smartphones, tablets, HDTVs notebooks, PCs, and monitors. The TCS3771 and TCS3772 devices also have an integrated proximity sensor. Applications include color measurement, discrimination, and determination in printers, industrial process QC, portable medical diagnostic equipment, paper and product handling, toys and games.
