Delta-Sigma ADC from Cirrus Logic

Cirrus Logic Inc.
Cirrus Logic Inc., Austin, TX, adds the CS5530 to its CS553X family of integrated delta-sigma ADCs. The device offers a single differential input channel, 24-bit performance, low-noise instrumentation amplifier with fixed gain of 64x, and noise performance of 12 nV/rt.Hz at 0.01 Hz. Digital scaling can provide additional effective gain of up to 40. The delta-sigma modulator features both 50 and 60 Hz rejection. Output word rates are user-selectable between 6.25 and 3840 samples/s when operating from a 4.9152 MHz master clock. Communication is via a 3-wire SPI and microwire-compatible serial interface.
