The Memory Division of Kaman Precision Products, Inc., introduces its Model 9740 Complete Data Storage Solution for use in severe environments. The system includes an electronics module, ground station adapter with encryption key enabled, and encryption key programmer. It features the hermetically-sealed Kaman SATA card with a unique ruggedized design, small form factor, high memory density, and on-card encryption providing data-at-rest functionality. Four 10/100/1000 Ethernet channels provide high speed data transfers, NAS functions such as NFS, FTP, TFTP, and DHCP Server protocols, and TCP/IP and UDP transport layer protocols. The system’s throughput rate is 50 MB/s sustained leads. Other features include operating temperatures from -40˚C to +71˚C, a vibration endurance rating of 3.89 GRMS, and a crash safety shock rating of 30G peak. The Model 9740 is compliant with MIL-STD-810 for altitude, humidity, sand and dust, salt spray, and explosive atmosphere and with MIL-STD-461f for EMI/EMC.
