Vishay Intertechnology Inc., Malvern, PA, offers the System 7000 for stress analysis testing that lets you acquire, reduce, and present data from strain gauges and related sensors, when used with the company's StrainSmart software. Hardware is housed in a high-channel-density enclosure. You can intermix strain gauges, strain-gauge-based transducers, thermocouples, and other sensors by choosing the appropriate sensor card for a total of up to 128 channels. An Ethernet interface lets you synchronize multiple scanners and allows flexible positioning of the scanners. Measurement accuracy is ±0.05% F.S.; each channel card uses a 24-bit ADC and scan rates are up to 2048 sps for simultaneous reading of all sensor inputs. Other features include nonvolatile data storage, analog and FIR filters, and self-calibration capability.
