The xDAP 7410 from Microstar Laboratories Inc., Bellevue, WA, is an LVD-tested and CE-compliant DA subsystem that provides high-rate, high-quality multichannel data capture for PC-based DA applications. Each xDAP 7410 features 8 parallel 16-bit ADC channels, clocked simultaneously, and running at configurable rates of up to 1 million samples/s; an embedded 2.0 GHz Celeron processor running DAPL RTOS manages all real-time aspects of DA hardware management and data buffering as well as higher-level data preprocessing and transfer management; sufficient local buffer memory to record 1 min. of activity without any concurrent transfers; and sustained 16 million bytes/s of data transfers across the USB interface. It is compatible with both North American and European power standards.
