Allegro MicroSystems Inc.

Allegro MicroSystems LLC, Worcester, MA, offers the ACS770 thermally enhanced, fully integrated, Hall effect, high-precision linear current sensor IC. The current through the copper conduction path generates a magnetic field that is converted to proportional voltage; output has a positive slope when an increasing current flows through the primary copper conduction path; and the internal resistance is 100 µΩ typical. The terminals of the conductive path are electrically isolated from the signal leads (pins 1 through 3) which allows the ACS770 family of sensor ICs to be used in applications requiring electrical isolation without the use of opto-isolators or other isolation techniques. Applications include automotive, industrial, and renewable energy markets. The ACS770 family is lead-free and available in a 5-pin package.
