Compact Encoder from Quantum Devices

Compact Encoder from Quantum Devices
Quantum Devices Inc.
Quantum Devices Inc., Barneveld, WI, offers the QD12 compact encoder for use in applications that typically use modular encoders. The device has a 1.2 in. o.d., an overall height of just over 1 in., and the stability of a bearing encoder design. Outputs consist of a quadrature with index pulse and 3-phase commutation; a flexible member allows for greater tail shaft runout than can be tolerated by modular encoder designs. It also provides 30° of rotation for commutation timing.
