The SCC1300 from VTI Technologies Oy, Vantaa, Finland, is a combined X-axis gyroscope and triaxial accelerometer that can be used for navigation systems, platform stabilization, and motion analysis. The 3D MEMS device is offered in two versions, both with digital/SPI outputs. The SCC1300-D02 offers a ±100°/s (gyro) and ±2 g (accelerometer) measurement range with 50 LSB (°/s) and 1800 LSB/g sensitivity, respectively. The SCC1300-D04 offers a ±300°/s (gyro) and ±6 g (accelerometer) measurement range with 18 LSB (°/s) and 650 LSB/g sensitivity, respectively. Other features include insensitivity to mechanical shocks and vibration, self-diagnostics, and a size of 12.1 by 19.71 by 4.6 mm.
