Belden and Yokogawa Collaborate

ST. LOUIS /PRNewswire/ -- Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, announced a new agreement with Yokogawa Electric Corp. Yokogawa, headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, is a leading provider of industrial automation and control solutions in a wide range of process markets. Under the terms of the agreement, Yokogawa will deploy Belden's Hirschmann brand industrial Ethernet switches in Yokogawa's global industrial application solutions that require highly reliable network performance.

Under the terms of the agreement, Yokogawa will use Hirschmann Industrial Ethernet switches in its Vnet/IP high-speed control networks and provide maintenance services to facilitate the deployment of highly reliable control networks. Plant control communication network in markets such as oil and gas, power transmission and distribution, pharmaceuticals and water/wastewater must endure harsh environments with extreme ambient temperatures and corrosive gasses.
