KEPServerEX v5.6 from Kepware Technologies, Portland, ME, adds the Weatherford 8500 serial driver, the MTConnect driver, and a Media Level Redundancy plug-in option to its KEPServerEX communication platform, expanding functionality for both the manufacturing and oil and gas industries. The Weatherford 8500 serial driver communicates with WellPilot rod pump controllers and lets you monitor information, alarms, and events from remote locations as well as make process adjustments. The Media Level Redundancy plug-in option provides further OPC Server redundancy. The MTConnect driver enables connectivity to machine tools that support MTConnect or any legacy equipment through an MTConnect Agent and lets you retrieve machine-level statistics for productivity, OEE, and SPC analysis. The software also adds additional driver and platform enhancements.
