Accelerometer Input Module from Dataforth

Accelerometer Input Module from Dataforth
Dataforth Corp.

The SCM5B48 from Dataforth Corp., Tucson, AZ, is an isolated and field-configurable accelerometer input signal conditioning module suited for use in aircraft and aerospace R&D, automotive noise reduction, and environmental/strength of materials applications. The module provides excitation to ICP, IEPE, or LIVM piezoelectric accelerometers and then isolates, filters, and amplifies the sensor output. Excitation current, signal gain, and filter high- and low-pass cutoff frequencies are field configurable. Features include 0.2% accuracy across all gain and excitation settings, 200 µVrms output noise, ±0.01% linearity, –40°C to 85°C operating temperature range, and 6 poles of signal filtering for >100 dB of normal-mode rejection for signal frequencies above the cutoff frequencies.
