Linear Technology Corp., Milpitas, CA, offers the LTC2631 family of pin- and software-compatible 12-/10-/8-bit I²C DACs in a TSOT-23 package and the SPI-equivalent LTC2640 family. The DACs have an internal 10 ppm/°C reference, a choice of 2.5 V or 4.096 V F.S. output, and the ability to apply an external reference. Outputs can power up to zero or mid-scale with the internal or external reference. Supply current is 180 µA at 3 V and 12-bit DC performance is ±1 LSB max. INL error. The parts have guaranteed specifications for the H-grade, industrial, and commercial temperature ranges.
