Employing spread spectrum (dithered) techniques to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) by as much as 15 dB, the Euroquartz’ 18HM series oscillators operate from a supply voltage of 1.8V. They are available in three standard surface-mount packages: 3.2 mm x 2.5 mm, 5 mm x 3.2 mm, and 7 mm x 5 mm. The oscillators are drop-in replacements for standard clocks. Specifications include a frequency range from 12.5 MHz to 42 MHz, CMOS output logic, DC input voltage of 1.8V ±0.15V, frequency stability options of ±25 ppm, ±50 ppm, and ±100 ppm for commercial (0 to +70°C) and industrial (-40°C to +85°C) devices, rise/fall times of 2.5 ns maximum, 15 pF load, and a start-up time of 2ms typical.
