Qualcomm launches enterprise XR program

Qualcomm on Tuesday announced an enterprise initiative to help integrators collaborate with industry on augmented reality and virtual reality deployments.

The Snapdragon XR platform will be at the heart of the technology used to promote AR and VR in industrial settings such as manufacturing, energy, healthcare and transportation.

The Qualcomm XR Enterprise Program will allow enterprise solution providers who become members to have access to technical support, co-marketing and business development with other members for acceleration of XR technology. XR is an umbrella term for Extended Reality to cover technologies such as augmented, virtual and mixed reality.

Companies such as Accenture, AMA, Arvizio, Cognitive3D, Librestream, Scope AR and many others said in a statement the initiative will help accelerate XR in the enterprise. A website has been created for companies interested in applying for the program.
