Arm announced a research program coming in 2020 to provide academics with access to a wide range of Arm’s intellectual property without any fees or costs.
The Arm Flexible Access for Research program builds on Arm Flexible Access, first announced in July.
The academic community will gain access to a click-through end-user licensing agreement to accelerate access to Arm IP. The IP will be available to professors within the Arm Cortex-A, -R and -M families, along with access to complete RGL subsystems and tools for use in research.
Arm is also developing an online community called Arm Research SoC Labs to help academics share their designs and gain feedback. More information is available at Arm’s website.
