SureCross Performance wireless I/O gateways and nodes from Banner Engineering Corp., Minneapolis, MN, have a high-power RF architecture with 1 W transmit power in the 900 MHz ISM band for a range of up to 6 miles. New models feature universal analog inputs; power management, deterministic network and integrated site survey tools; either 4–20 mA or 0–10 V field-selectable inputs; and the ability to be powered by solar panels, battery modules, or 10–30 VDC. Additional node and gateway models provide up to 12 discrete I/O and the new temperature node options have up to 4 factory-calibrated temperature inputs for thermocouples or RTD inputs. Applications include reporting machine status in large manufacturing facilities, monitoring landfill ground well levels and pumps, and remote monitoring of towers or tank farms.
