The MRA-F wire draw mechanism from
SICK STEGMANN Inc., Dayton, OH, works with the company's absolute or incremental encoders to provide length measurement up to 50 m. The device works by way of drum rotation proportional to the length being measured; movement is counted by an encoder and converted to a measuring signal. Features include a simply mounted encoder, high-precision measurement drum, stable spring return, flexible steel rope, and steel dirt removers. Communication interfaces include SSI, Profibus, CANopen, or DeviceNet for absolute wire draw encoders and HTL or TTL for incremental wire draw encoders.
