The HEC-2000 PLC from Divelbiss Corp., Fredericktown, OH, is an addition to the company's HEC family of harsh environment controllers and has a sealed watertight enclosure with pluggable connectors. The standard enclosure is submersible to 3 ft. and is screw and sub-plate mountable. Features include eight 8–32 VDC inputs, two 40 kHz counters, 8 digital/PWM outputs rated to 3 A with automatic over-current safety and programmable status monitoring for each, a CAN port, and an optional second serial port. Applications include control for engine-driven pumps and compressors, mobile asset management and tracking, intelligent mining or oil field equipment, and conveyor systems.
