Series EX64xB7x loop-powered 4–20 mA output sensors from PCB Piezotronics Inc., IMI Sensors Div., Depew, NY, provide continuous vibration monitoring on critical machinery in hazardous area application environments. The sensors have a 1 in. NPT, 90° capped elbow conduit to meet ATEX and CSA approval requirements for hazardous area operation. Sensors are available with either acceleration or velocity outputs and in various amplitude ranges. You can select outputs of peak or RMS vibration as well as optional temperature or raw vibration outputs; raw vibration output provides a buffered signal that can be used with vibration data collectors. Sensors operate from standard 24 V loop power and are directly compatible with existing PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and plant information systems.
