Meggitt Sensing Systems, Germantown, MD, has added the Model 993B-7-M12 to its Wilcoxon Research 3-axis series of vibration sensors for permanent and handheld vibration monitoring applications. The sensor features three general-purpose 100 mV/g vibration sensors with a ±10% sensitivity tolerance; a frequency range from 2–10,000 Hz on the Z axis and 2–7000 Hz on the X and Y axes; individual channel amplifiers to reduce the influence of out-of-band signals; ESD protection and EMI/RFI shielding; an M12 connector; and an upgraded external case for better resistance to impact. Cable options include straight, coiled, and Teflon-coated with BNC, Turck, Fischer (6- or 11-pin) or Bendix connectors. Applications include vibration monitoring for cooling tower fans, blowers, pumps, compressors, chillers, gearboxes, mixers, and motors.
