Variable Capacitance Accelerometer from Endevco

The Model 7290D from Endevco Corp., San Juan Capistrano, CA, is a variable capacitance accelerometer with onboard microprocessor-based temperature compensation. Total dynamic accuracy is 2.5%, differential output is ±2.25 V (single-ended optional) and is DC coupled to a DC bias of ~2.5 V. Features include gas damping and internal over-range stops for high thermal stability and the ability to withstand high shock and acceleration loads. Operating temperature range is –55°C to 125°C. A custom ASIC provides factory-programmable temperature compensation and TEDS stores serial number and calibration information. Applications include laboratory test and measurement, automotive and aerospace.
