The 2-channel DT9862 from Data Translation Inc., Marlboro, MA, offers 10 MHz sampling per channel, 10 MHz burst sampling for both channels, or 5 MHz sampling for 2 channels continuously. Each 16-bit analog input channel has a separate ADC. Features include synchronous operation of all subsystems, 2 optional 16-bit deglitched D/A channels, high-speed digital I/O, two 32-bit counter/timers, three 32-bit quadrature decoders, flexible clock and trigger modes, ±500 V galvanic isolation, and max. throughput >25 MBps (limited to the USB 2.0 bus speed). Applications include fast thermal analysis, triangular spotting of downed black boxes, and high-speed ultrasound imaging.
