The Model SLF-500 from
Flow Technology Inc., Tempe, AZ, is a clamp-on ultrasonic flowmeter capable of bidirectional flow measurement through metal, plastic, and unlined pipes without altering the piping. Accuracy and repeatability is ±0.2%. The device can be used on line sizes from 1–12 in. without recalibration. Applications include corrosive chemicals in the process industry, DI water and chemicals in the semiconductor industry, and fluids in the sanitary industry.
