TVS Diode Arrays Thwart Surge And ESD Events

TVS Diode Arrays Thwart Surge And ESD Events
Littelfuse Inc.

The SP4042 Series TVS Diode Array integrates low capacitance steering diodes with a TVS diode to provide two channels of protection. The device can safely absorb up to 120A per IEC61000-4-5 (tP= 2/10μs) without performance degradation and a minimum ±30kV ESD per IEC61000-4-2 international standard. Low loading capacitance (11pF per line) makes the SP4042 Series ideal for protecting 10/100/1000 Ethernet interfaces, Customer Premise Equipment (CPE), Carrier Class Equipment, and PBX systems. Notable features include a peak pulse power rating of 2.5 kW, a capacitance of 11 pF per line, an ESD capability of ±30 kV contact, ±30 kV air, and a leakage current of 0.1 μA at 3.3V. The SP4042 Series comes in a μDFN-10 package and is provided in tape & reel packaging in quantities of 3,000.
