Trimble to Deliver Fleet Management in Europe

IPSWICH, UK--(Marketwire -) - Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) has announced the launch of its wireless fleet productivity solutions for the European commercial vehicle market. Trimble, headquartered in California with more than 10 locations throughout Europe including sales offices in Ipswich, Paris, Raunheim and Stockholm, provides global positioning system (GPS) based fleet management products for a variety of industries including transportation, distribution, field service, ready mix concrete, aggregate hauling, telecommunications, cable, utilities, facilities management, public works and construction.

Trimble will begin offering the affordably-priced TrimWeb and GeoManager fleet management solutions in Europe. These easy-to-use, on-demand GPS solutions are designed to help European fleet operators and field service providers reduce fuel and other operating costs while increasing mobile worker productivity and customer service. The solutions use innovative monitoring, mapping and reporting tools as well as wireless communications, messaging and automated workflow.

In addition to GPS-based fleet management products, Trimble also offers complete solutions for field service management consisting of intelligent software for appointing, scheduling and dispatching, routing and demand/capacity planning. Rounding out the Trimble family of comprehensive solutions for mobile resource management are products for field asset management incorporating vehicle diagnostic/prognostic and sensor technologies for driver safety, inventory management and optimized vehicle performance and maintenance.
