Trilliant partners with Bit Stew to provide enhanced operational solutions to global utility market

REDWOOD CITY, CA – Trilliant announces a strategic partnership with Bit Stew Systems to provide enhanced operations solutions to the global utility industry. This partnership leverages the power of Bit Stew's proven industrial automation solution for Utilities, Grid Director, with the Trilliant Smart Communications Platform, to simplify the deployment and management of smart grids.

At the heart of Grid Director is the MIx Core™ artificial intelligence engine that enables complex event processing, advanced analytics, sophisticated machine intelligence, and predictive automation. The MIx Core has proven scalability to support billions of networked devices with trillions of data points and is ideal for real-time, distributed industrial automation applications.

Trilliant's Smart Communications Platform is purpose-built for the energy industry enabling utilities to securely and reliably deploy Smart Grid applications, such as Distribution Automation, Advanced Metering Infrastructure and Demand Side Management, on one powerful network.

When operating as an integrated solution, Grid Director will receive data from the Trilliant platform and present it in a unified view to the Operations Center as well as combine it with data from other disparate sensor systems in the field. Together, Trilliant and Bit Stew help utility customers simplify their field systems, reduce network overhead, and provide much-needed functionality for large meter and sensor deployments of the future.

"The Trilliant Smart Communications Platform is a robust, flexible and advanced technology. Their ability to provide more data in shorter periods of time really leverages the core capabilities of Grid Director and the MIx Core," says Kai Hui, Chief Technology Officer at Bit Stew.

Mike Mortimer, Senior Vice-President of Global Sales at Trilliant says, "Trilliant and Bit Stew are developing and deploying powerful solutions to help utilities make sense of the increased data they are receiving from their smart grid deployments to further leverage the high capacity of the Trilliant Smart Communications Platform to deliver more data, more frequently. Together, our technologies deliver both immediate benefits to those just starting their deployments as well as those that want to be able to leverage all of their needed data in the future."
