Triaxial Piezoresistive Shock Accelerometer Can Take The Gs

Triaxial Piezoresistive Shock Accelerometer Can Take The Gs
Meggitt Sensing Systems

Designed for weapons testing, high-g data recorders, missile fuzes, and other extreme-g apps, Meggitt Sensing Systems’ Endevco model 7284 family of lightly damped, high-g, triaxial, piezoresistive shock accelerometers come in 20,000g and 60,000g ranges. Debuting as a triaxial version of the company’s single-axis 7280A series, it shares the same footprint, bolt pattern, and sensing system. The model 7284 incorporates three sensors mounted in a triaxial arrangement within a single housing. Each axis features a piezoresistive MEMS sensor with light gas damping to attenuate resonant amplitudes and prevent breakage in overload conditions.
