Torque Sensor from Cooper Instruments & Systems

The LXT 980/981 torque sensor from Cooper Instruments & Systems, Warrenton, VA, lets you measure the effective torque on the gauge bar bidirectionally, independent of rotational speed. The sensor is supplied with a connecting cable and key stones; measurement range is 0–2000 Nm in either direction. Integrated in the sensor structure is the transmitting shaft, contact-free signal pick-up, and signal processing, eliminating the need for an external amplifier. Analog output is 1–10 V. Accuracy is 0.2% F.S. for the LXT 980 and 0.1% F.S. for the LXT 981. Operating temperature range is –30°C to 85°C.
