The single-axis N3 and dual-axis N4 from Elobau Sensor Technology Inc., Lake Bluff, IL, are mercury-free and designed to capture the tilt position of off-highway vehicles. The sensors have a ±60° range that can be defined for analog from ±5° and digital from ±1.5° in increments of 0.5°. You can adjust the zero point with an IR remote control. Output can simultaneously use analog (4–20 mA or 0.5–4.5 V) and digital signals (relay, 1 A, 30 W/VA). You can define both axes by 4 switching points, 2 on positive and 2 on the negative range. An arbitrary delay is used to eliminate signal failure caused by vehicle vibrations.
