THREE FULL DAY PRE-CONFERENCE SYMPOSIA AND NEW EDUCATION CONFERENCE TRACKS TO BE OFFERED AT SENSORS EXPO & CONFERENCE

ROSEMONT, IL, April 8, 2014 - The Sensors Expo & Conference 2014 Education Program has been announced and includes three, all-new, full-day Pre-Conference Symposia being held on Tuesday, June 24. In addition, the comprehensive Conference Program will feature nine expansive education tracks, providing solutions to today's industry challenges while exploring sensing technologies that are driving tomorrow's solutions. The 2014 Sensors Expo & Conference will be held at The Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL, from June 24 - June 26.

The three Pre-Conference Symposia will include multiple sessions hosted by experts and will run from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm on Tuesday, June 24. The topics will include:

• Designing MEMS In - How to Engage the Supply Chain, moderated by Karen Lightman, Executive Director of MEMS Industry Group. Organized and hosted by MEMS Industry Group (MIG), the trade association advancing MEMS across global markets, this one-day pre-conference symposium will give attendees an inside look into the MEMS industry and how to "design MEMS inside" their products.
• Energy Harvesting for Powering Wireless Sensors Networks - Tutorials 2014. Randy Frank, President of Randy Frank & Associates, Ltd. will be chairing this event, where presenters will provide an in-depth analysis of the challenges and solutions of using energy harvesting techniques of varying types for powering sensors in wireless applications. Other system aspects to be addressed include high efficiency, low-power microcontrollers, wireless connectivity, and power management.
• Making the Internet of Things a Reality: A Toolkit for Designing "Smart," chaired by Will Tu Director at ARM. This symposium will provide the technical and market knowledge and tools to help attendees to create their company's' IoT value proposition and products for successful entry into these new markets. 

This year's comprehensive Conference Program, taking place on Wednesday, June 25 and Thursday, June 26 is offering a new Power Management Track; a new IoT Track; a new M2M Track and an expanded Sensors @ Work track with new case studies and applications. Additionally, the Conference Program will feature tracks on Chemical & Gas Sensing; Energy Harvesting for Sensors Applications; IoT: Internet of Things; M2M; MEMS; Novel Approaches to Measurement and Detection; Power Management for Sensor Applications; Sensors @ Work and Wireless.  Each of these tracks will offer a series of sessions led my industry experts who will present new case studies and applications.

In addition to the comprehensive Conference Program and Pre-Conference Symposia, the Best of Sensors Expo Awards (BOSE), will be given out on Thursday, June 26. The nomination submission deadline for the BOSE Awards is Friday, April 18. These awards will focus on applications and innovations in the world of sensors, as well as excellence among engineers.
