Three-Axis MEMS Accelerometer Goes Industrial And Automotive

Groomed for industrial and automotive applications, SCA3300 series three-axis MEMS accelerometers measure 7.6 mm x 8.6 mm x 3.3 mm and offer several measurement ranges of 1.5g, 3g, or 6g with lower than 10-mg offset stability.  The series exhibits a non-linearity of 0.1% and a noise density of 37 ug/√Hz.  Operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +125°C. Functions include leveling and alignment systems, inertia measurement units for heavy machinery, navigation systems, automatic guided vehicles (AGV) and construction and surveying tools.  The component resides in a pre-molded dual flat lead SMD housing, operates from a 3.3 Vdc supply, and consumes 1 mA during normal operation.  It also meets the automotive AEC-Q100 quality standard and provides continuous failsafe functions and flags for diagnostics. These include monitoring internal reference signals, techniques for verifying communication, signal saturation, and over range monitoring. For more info and specs, go to
