Thermostat Regulates Home Temperature Based On Smartphone Location
Honeywell Sensing and Control

The Lyric thermostat knows when users are coming and going based on their smartphone location and regulates home temperatures based on that. Using the location of a smartphone, a geofencing feature automatically turns the Lyric thermostat into energy saving mode when a home is empty. It then senses when occupants are coming home and heats or cools the house to their preferred temperature. A Fine Tune feature factors indoor and outdoor temperature, humidity, and weather into its algorithm, enabling it to provide the most comfortable temperature for homeowners. According to Lyric’s maker, no other do-it-yourself Wi-Fi thermostat on the market today does that. To view a multimedia demo, visit For more details, visit
