The TJ-USB Series of thermocouple probes from Omega Engineering Inc., Stamford, CT, have a rugged transition joint construction and connect directly to a USB port on your computer. Features include a Type K integral thermocouple (K1 has a range of –73°C to 315°C and K2 has a range of –270°C to 1000°C), an integral 2 m shielded output cable, and free user software to convert a PC running Windows (2000, XP, or Visa) into a temperature meter, chart recorder, and data logger. Resolution for the USB-TC-K1 is 0.1°C and for the USB-TC-K2 is 1°C.
